This hotel offers a beautiful location and clean, spacious rooms, though there were minor inconveniences with noise from the sash windows and limited dining options on a wedding night. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the stay pleasant overall.

It was just a solid selection for a fleeting trip in Bude with attractive and competitive value for money. The family meal we had was perfect, and the portions were generous. Make sure to check the tap water quality before drinking.

Mixed feelings on the stay
Had a decent time here. The room was pretty nice and the food was tasty, but our table was forgotten at dinner, and we felt rushed. Really liked the packed lunches option! Wish service was smoother overall, though. They could use more staff in charge to oversee things better.

We loved our stay at this charming place! The family room was spacious and clean, perfect for us with two little kids. We enjoyed the lovely walk to the beach and found many great local spots. The staff were super friendly and really made us feel welcome.
My kids wished for a small play area for some extra fun.

I had a single room, and honestly, it was really comfy. The bed was a nice size for a single and super cozy. The bathroom had proper soap dispensers, no tiny bottles—which was a win. The room was clean and warm, even without a view. You can feel the charm of the place for sure, even if it’s just for one night. Plus, the lift made carrying luggage a breeze!

I had a decent stay here, really enjoyed the exceptional quality and presentation of dinner, especially the heavenly cheesecake dessert. Breakfast though was a letdown, not as shown in the photos. I'd consider staying again.

Loved the homemade ice cream, an absolute treat after a long day exploring! Plus, the breakfast options were on point, especially those freshly baked pastries. Good vibes in the bar area, too, properly buzzing!
Took a wee while for our mains to hit the table, a 45-minute wait was a tad too long, and a larger supply of bottled water would’ve been mint instead of just a couple of small ones.

Rooms showcase charming decor with well-maintained features. The location near the canal lends itself to scenic strolls and a tranquil setting away from the city buzz.
The room size felt cramped, lacking sufficient comfort for relaxation. Noise from a live band echoed in the vicinity, making it tough to sleep with the window open during warm nights. A trek into town requires a good 10 to 15 minute walk, which can be challenging, especially if you're looking to avoid inclement weather or have mobility issues. some dining experiences may require patience, as meal service can be slow, particularly during peak hours.

Fabulous stay in a charming location
I had a lovely stay with delightful amenities and beautiful interior decor that reflected the hotel's rich history. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, especially at breakfast where the choices were freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. I did find the dinner portions to be a bit on the smaller side, which left me wanting more.
